Oct. 22

Today we saw our first dolphin. Well, just his dorsal fin and a bit of his back but its a start. We passed som amazin homes along the way and a floating restaurant too. You never know what you are going to see floating by on the ICW.

Oct 21

We left Morehead City, N.C. early in the morning. About a 1/2 hour out, we came upon a bridge we needed to pass under at the centre of the channel but there were a thousand fishing boats (literally) scattered across the channel under the bridge. It was some sort of fishing derby. They had anchor lines off the bow and fishing lines out the stern. It was a real nail-biter naviagating through the mess but we made it. When we arrived at our anchorage at Mile Hammoch Bay, N.C. another boat from Hamilton arrived soon after. It was Jim on Blossom who left two weeks after us in September and has been single-handing his way down the coast. Of course this called for a happy hour.
